The Digital Design and Technology Programme, funded by the Department for Education, combines two major curriculum developments – CAD/CAM in Schools and the Electronics in Schools Strategy. For nearly a decade, these two programmes have provided specialist in-service training in CAD/CAM and electronics for more than 14,000 teachers.  The programme will continue to provide this training but increasingly move towards offering courses that integrate the use of CAD/CAM and electronics.

The West Midlands Support Centre is based at Finham Park School in Coventry and The Old Needleworks, Redditch. It is jointly managed by Paul Gardiner, Hugh Johnson, Heidi Ambrose-Brown and Malcolm Eyre.
